J'ai installé le composant, créée une galerie dans un menu en mettant le lien RSS de mon album mais voila sa ne marche pas ..

Lorsque je clic sur le lien dans mon menu pour accéder a la galerie j'ai une page blanche qui s'affiche avec le message suivant :

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /homepages/12/d281096578/htdocs/comptoir1/components/com_anotherpicasa /classes/fake_firephp.php on line 8

Quelqu'un a une idée ??

Is it possible to do this with hidden albums?

Also, this would be much more powerful if you had it as a plugin, so one could embed these slideshows inside of any content item

You can display hidden album by using the correct
"authkey" in your RSS url.
For example: http://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/base/user/my.username/albumid/50 86029550746151153?alt=rss&kind=photo&authkey=G81sfgCKfe4rLU_7X9rgG&hl= fr
To get the "authkey" of your album you should do this:
1- Make your album "unlisted"
2- get the rss url (the authkey should be in)
3- Turn back your album to "Sign-in ..."

Hi, this is an awesome extension, the looks are way better in my view than the main contestant: Rokin Gallery. I don't know about the handling yet. But I do know that I will only really consider using it when it comes with a full 'gallery' option, that includes an overview of picasa albums and doesn't require to make new menu links for every album. A plugin is now available

Hi, I think the plugin can make things easier, but what I really meant was, that what would make this extension complete and workable and popular, is an album overview, just like there is in Picasaweb, which will be automatically updated when you add a new public album to Picasaweb. Then there is no need to make seperate menu items or syntax entries in an article. (Of course these are nice options though)

Je viens de tester le composant et plugin, et je dois dire que ce module est vraiment bien fait ! Par contre, dès que j'active le plugin, je reçois un message sur la page d'accueil 'moocasa syntax error'.
J'ai testé le plugin sur 2 sites différents avec des templates différents => même résultat.

'moocasa syntax error' signifie que le plugin n'arrive pas à comprendre la chaine comprise dans la balise {moocasa ... }.
Peut-être le même soucis que javascript:JOSC_reply(14) ?
Pouvez-vous copier/coller le code que vous avez placé dans l'article ?

I tried this new plugin today, but the message is : moocasa syntax error
I inserted in an article the following sentence :

remark : when I installed the com_anotherpicasa_v0.3.zip component, the version was always 0.21 ...

when I try to use the plugin {moocasa url="http://picasaweb.google.com/..."} using the correct gallery url I get ALBUM NOT FOUND OR NOT PUBLIC

But if I setup a menu using moocasa it displays the gallery just fine.

I previously sent a comment regarding the plugin not working, stating the the album was not found and that it worked as a menu.

I resolved this problem, when I looked at the html code I noticed the editor placed a span tag around part of the url, once I removed this the plugin started working.

Le problème survient dès que j'active le plugin. Je n'ai donc même pas inséré de code dans un article. L'erreur n'est visible toutefois que sur la page d'accueil.

Lorsque j'insère le code du plugin dans un article, cela fonctionne, sauf que les vignettes en-dessous s'empilent.

I understand where the error message comes from.
In fact, in all other articles which do not include {moocasa .... a synthax error appears when using my web site.

So no problem when my article uses moocasa plugin (it works fine !!), but problem when my article do not use the plugin.

Hi, got it working in a test phase of my website, it looks supurb.
I would like to know how to change the div of the album description from h2 in something less large that doesn't conflict with the (overlapping) foto album.
Also the 'current image indicator' doesn't seem to work correctly in my install, it partly or totally overlaps the picture after the current one.

In your css you can change de size of the H2. Could you give the url of your website so i can see what is wrong ? (if you don't want to make it public send it to "contact (at) xter (point) fr".
You can also try our new version (v0.5) of component witch have better css.

Hi, I liked the demo of your solution so I installed component 0.5 and plugin 0.2 successful.
Have build a menu entry (see Foto galery) but now only the title is shown...

Thanks for the example you gave: I made the mistake of using the rss of the Gallery of Albums instead of the rss of the specifica picasa Album as you show in the example.

So now it is working fine on kolenkit.com too!

However, I ran into an error message: 'Picasa Album too big, not found or not a public album'. I guess the problem would be too many pictures in the album. What is the reason of this limit, and what is the precise limit of pictures I can use? And is there any way to increase this number?

The limitation is not by the picture number's, but by the timeout of your hosting (php, curl, ...).
I have an album with 200 pictures and it work fine (on my own webserver), but it take a while for retriving it; when i set it in a free hosting i can't see anything (timeout everytime).

You can try to use Fopen rather than Curl (you can set this in the backend in V0.5).

What version of the component / plugin did you use ? What content editor did you use (tinyMCE, ...) ?

I use the JoomlaFCK editor. The plugin works if I use "No Editor". So it is the editor.

Hello. The plug-in for picasa works for me in FIrefox, but not in Internet Explore (8, last version).

HOw to modify the title size? The sugestion for u will be to automaticaly expand layar that shows the title, so the entire text will be seen.

I'am now trying to move this html based site into joomla and for that I also have to include our photo album.
We would like to make use of foto's present on Picasa. To do so I installed Moocasa and you can find this on http://www.dv-thetis.nl/jmla and select in the mainmenu "Another Picasa".
You see then right away the problem I have, it displays "Picasa Album too big, not found or not a public album"

I configured joomla to make use of the RSS feed in the of the Picasa Web album:

What version of the component did you use ? in the latest version you can choose between cUrl and Fopen. Try Fopen (on some hosting cUrl timeout cannot be set and the delay someime is too short)

I discovered the problem with this component in IE8.

You need to correct the following line of code in components/com_anotherpicasa/views/album/tmpl/default.php

On line #119 you need to change this:

Basically just add the parenthesis after goSlideShow

I have installed the latest versions of the Moocasa plugin and component. It works fine with Chrome, Firefox, and IE 6, but hangs up with the "Loading..." message when using IE 8. Your release notes say that 0.51 added IE 8 compatibility. Do you have any ideas or suggestions about my problem?

When I install the plug-in i get the following message: JFolder::files: Path is not a folder
What is that?
If I still active the Moocasa and then look at my sight I only see text and nothing else. No css whatsoever, no pics...

I like this slideshow. Unfortunately only the component is working under Firefox. The plugin does not work. In IE8 nor the component, nor the plugin work.

So, it's not useable in the real world yet. Hope you can fix these issues.
BTW: URL is temporary, I'm working on this site.

I got both the component & the plugin working now (with Allen's code change), however:

After clicking the link to the album I very often get "ALBUM NOT FOUND OR NOT PUBLIC". After a few tries it finally shows up. You said this is a matter of time-out. I doubt that because the error message shows up immediately upon clicking and not after the 10sec time-out I set.

In the plugin version no thumbnails are shown, just empty placeholders.

I hope this can be fixed. I really like the looks and functionality of this extension.

In the back-end you can choose between 'curl' and 'fopen'. Try to use 'fopen'

This works fine in FF and IE6 but it won't load the gallery in IE8, just an empty page but it does display the date the album was last updated.

Like most users above me, I too am very pleased with your component and your plugin. I find the look of the slideshow very appealing. Installing and using the component gave no hassle whatsoever. However, the plugin gave me some trouble. If I put the moocasa plugin in an article displayed in blog lay-out, I got a fatal error mentioning an error: '500 - Layout "blog" not found', which seems to indicate that no layout settings exist for the plugin in a blog format. In particular, once I added a 'read more' tag before the {moocasa... - part, it worked beautifully. I did not see the slideshow in the blog layout, but once I clicked on 'read more', it showed the article containing the gallery. Perhaps this is something you could fix, or at the very least mention in documentation to your otherwise very useful plugin and component.
